Tyson, the self-taught "skateboarding bulldog" was to appear at Stockton, California *'s Asparagus Festival, this past weekend. Tyson has reportedly appeared in multiple movies, one of which was called the "worst movie of the year". DoCoMo, a Japanese * mobile phone provider, is releasing a new "skateboard dash" game which uses the phone much like a controller on the Nintendo * Wii *. Also, 22-year old Kiwi industrial designer Ben Thomsen won the top prize in the Designers Institute's national award for his skateboard-like device designed to move on grass under human power. e2e Materials of Ithica, New York *, has announced a biodegradable composite which is made completely of plant materials and which can, at least in concept, be used to make skateboards.
