According to Barb "Skateboard Mom" Odanaka, the International Society of Skateboarding Moms is planning a gathering in the Washington, DC * area for the Mighty Mama Skate-O-Rama.
Scheduled to occur on Sunday, August 13th, the non-competitive event is open to all female skaters and their supporters and begins at the Wakefield Skatepark * in Annandale, Virginia * at 3PM.
The plan calls for a couple hours of skating, followed by a group skateboarding expedition into D.C. proper, where the group will then hand out new children's books to kids as part of the Rolling for Reading program.
The books to be used for the event were reportedly donated by Putnam publishers.
