Those pesky slalom wigglers have booked the 'long' bit of the newly built Redbridge Cycle centre, east London from 12pm. We have used the short circuit before but this is the first race on the big hill. Luckily they have TWO hills so one will be for use for freeriders. The charge is £10 in advance. This is to cover track rental and insurance. No helmet, NO waiver, No ride. ALL money gos to the UKSSA racing/timer fund.

Whilst Hog Hill is NOT an out and out DH hill it would be ideal to test tucks, and equipment and also ideal for newbies for freeriding as the hill is long and smooth with the longest runout immaginable. PLUS you may want to give the Giant Slalom a crack. Please do!

On Monday the 4th August a select group of British-based riders (including the UK No.1 Pete Connoly, and UK No.2 Mike River) met on the newly-surfaced hill to show the visiting TV crew what downhill riding is all about.

As the media interest in the GoFast race increases, SpeedDays is set to become the most widely featured race on the IGSA World Cup Circuit. GoFast! will be providing a full-time TV crew to attend the event. This film crew will be joined by the legendary on-board cameraman Yvonne Labarthe, who GoFast are flying in to cover the racing.

Eastbourne Borough Council have now resurfaced the Speed Days track with a special race-compound tarmac, especially for the Speed Days race. A team of UKGSA downhill riders tried out the new surface last week, and found that the new surface is as smooth as velvet, extremely fast, and extra grippy! This new surface has totally transformed the Beachy Head road into the best downhill skateboard facility in the world.

Rider entries are now selling extremely fast following the news of the new surface, so if you are a rider considering racing or freeriding at Speed Days 2008 - be quick or miss out! Rider numbers are strictly limited, so sign up now!
