Scotts Valley, California * - On Saturday and Sunday September 24th and 25th 2005 *, the Seventh Annual Tim Brauch * Memorial Contest will be held at the Tim Brauch Memorial Skatepark *, awarding $5,000 in prize moneys combined at the Am Street event saturday and the Bowl even on Sunday.
Each event starts practice at 10AM, with the contest running from noon "until we get done". Helmets are required.
This Years Bowl Contest will reportedly be a sanctioned World Cup Skateboarding * event and will be the 7th stop of the World Concrete Bowl Series, which features divisions for girls, legends, and pros.
Entry will be limited to the first 100 participants and will be filled on a first come first served basis.
Tim Brauch was a well-liked and widely respected skateboarder who passed away in May of 1999 *, shortly after his 25th brithday. Friends and family members founded the Tim Brauch Memorial Fund "to promote skateboarding as a safe, healthy and fun activity, as well as provide cities with money, tools and knowledge to create proper skateboard parks."
