Malmo, Sweden * -- Globe * has announce that the first BowlBash * of 2006 will take place at the new Stapelbaddsparken * (Stappelbadd Skatepark *) in the South of Sweden.

The event will mark the Grand opening of the 2500 square meter (27,000 square foot) concrete park in Malmö, which is accessible through the city's airport or from Copenhagen via an approximately 20 minute train ride.

The contest is open to "all local and traveling skateboarders, amateurs and pro's". At each BowlBash, five skateboarders qualify for the grand finals.

Saturday May 13th

All day - Practice and registration; evening - Film; night - Globe BowlBash * Party

Sunday May 14th

12:00 - 14:00 Globe BowlBash contest

14:00 - 15:00 Live act: Henry Fiat Open Sore

15:00 - 18:00 Globe BowlBash contest

The other events are scheduled for Hamburg, Germany * June 3-4th 2006; Burnley, UK * July 15-16 2006; Algorta, Spain *, August 26-27th 2006; "Finals" in Eindhoven, Holland *, October 13-15th 2006.

Contest sponsors include Independent Trucks *, MTV *, Braun, Boomerang, Huck, Kingping Magazine, Yoz, Thrasher *, Circle, Sidewalk, Boardstein, Dogway, Bryggeriet, and the event is produced in cooperation with Skateboard Federation Netherlands *.
