New York *-- Tony Hawk * and Six Flags parks have announced an agreement that the "Boom Boom HuckJam" tour will visit Six Flags parks this summer.
The tour reportedly starts a two-year collaboration between the HuckJam tour and Six Flags.
"Tony Hawk is an internationally-recognized athlete and skateboard icon, and while our mission at Six Flags is to make our brand more attractive to families, our alliance with Tony Hawk's tour underscores our sustained commitment to our teen audience," said Mike Antinoro, Six Flags Executive Vice President of Entertainment and Marketing.
"We've made a pledge to diversify our entertainment so the Six Flags experience is about more than just rides, and bringing Tony Hawk to Six Flags is a perfect illustration of that."

Tony Hawk was a professional skater at 14. According to Marketing Evaluations Inc., which produces the Q Scores survey, "a measure of public figures' familiarity and appeal", Hawk is one of the ten most recognizable athletes in the world in the critical 12-to-24-year-old demographic.
Hawk's Pro Skater line of video games has proven to be one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time with over $1 billion in sales. Hawk also has his own clothing line and in 2006 will reportedly release an animated movie and star in two shows daily at selected Six Flags parks throughout the summer.
