Powell * will be celebrating their 30 year anniversary in November.
The Making of The Search for Animal Chin * was shown at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on February 7th. Reportedly Don Hoffman along with Mark Hunt, conducted a question and answer session after the showing, followed by a showing of The Search for Animal Chin.
On Thursday, February 23rd there is scheduled to be a special showing of The Making of The Search for Animal Chin in an unspecified location in Santa Monica, California *. George Powell, Stacy Peralta *, Tommy Guerrero *, a Tony, Mike McGill *, Steve Caballero *, Lance Mountain * and others will be on hand to help FUEL TV cover the evening.
In their continued effort to support public skatepark * building in the United States *, Powell Classic * and Powell Peralta * will be auctioning ten signed Steve Steadham re-issue decks on Ebay, from which portions of proceeds will support public skateparks *. The company claims that over $5,000 has been donated so far. Planned to be auctioned next are signed Alan Gelfand * Tank and CAB Original Dragon decks.
As far as media coverage, Powell asserts that Steve Caballero has an 8 page 20 Questions in the March Transworld *, Danny Wainwright * has the cover of Freestyler Skateboard magazine from France * as well as a two page VANS * ad and a full page in Document Skateboarding Magazine, Rodney Jones * has a two page Billabong * ad in various magazines, and Jordan Hoffart * has a full page in Thrasher *. John White is the latest Am edition to the Powell Team *, and he also rides for VANS, Fury, BONES Wheels * and Active.
Pat Channita * no longer rides for Powell.
Bones has added a James Craig * pro wheel to the line up. Jasen Spinks was a recent winner in the I Found CHIN contest and will be receiving an Animal Chin Mask shirt and Special Edition poster.
Powell has also constructed a new Bones Brigade * section on their website to display both the "historical and present whereabouts of the original Bones Brigade combined with the new Ranks of the Brigade which is evolving world wide".
Skate One has been engineering, manufacturing and distributing skateboard products for over twenty nine years. Powell Peralta represents products that George and Stacy have agreed to re-issue under that brand name; Powell Classic products represent other products.
