Jonesboro, Arkansas * - A skateboard park in this town that was built by volunteers was destroyed in about five minutes, allegedly by a nearby business owner who was frustrated with the conduct of some of the park's patrons.
Thirty-year-old Chris Baugh allegedly attacked the park Tuesday with a small bulldozer. Ramps and rails at the park were torn up.
The park was built by volunteers who used donations to buy materials.
Baugh owns property across the street from the park and police say he was frustrated by the behavior of some skateboarders. Baugh, who is free on $5,000 bond, serves on the city's parking committee, and is a board member on the Downtown Jonesboro Association.
Witnesses say Baugh did the damage around 9:30 the morning of August 24th.
Baugh was arrested and charged with second degree criminal mischief, a felony. Baugh is set for a September 24th court appearance.
