Jon Comer * is now on the Savier * website, repping the team in Texas *, and Jon's documentary is out! Never Been Done, The Jon Comer Story won Best Documentary at the 2004 * X-Dance Film Festival in Park City, Utah * last week. Jon was out there to support the film. Some of his family members made the trip a nd threw him a nice party since it was his 28th b-day. Never Been Done is also an Official selection of the 2004 Santa Barbara International Film Festival, so catch the films premiere with Jon and the Skate One crew in Santa Barbara February 6. Sadly this month Big Brother * Magazine is done, which sucks for Jon because he was going to have the cover and a full interview just 2 issue from now! It was going to be his and Powell * TM photographer Olsens' first cover shot, Oh well.Jon likes cool stuff and doesn't like lame stuff in his new web interview.
It's winter in England *, so Danny Wainwright * traveled to Barcelona * this month for some nicer weather and skating. He has also been shooting photos at home with Leo Sharp for UK * skate mag Sidewalk. Danny should have a little something in Transworld * soon. He and Cab got to hang out for a bit at a Vans * store opening in London *.
Rodney Jones * was out on a team pain * road trip across Florida *. He went to Louisville for a bit of skating too. Now he's off to Australia * for the World Cup contest and then some street skating. How do you sum up Rodney in one sentence? "I am Rodney Jones and I am a man with a hairy ass neck who loves to skateboard." That's how.
Steve Caballero * has been traveling a lot lately. First it was London with Wainwright, then over to Japan * for some vert demos. Next was New Zealand * and Australia where he was doing shop appearances and autograph signings. Cab visited John Cardiel * who is in the hospital in Australia healing a broken back. Steve said John was in good spirits and doing better. Steve and The Faction played their 'final show' in December, but then The Adolescents asked them to play with them, so how could they say no? So they both played with Strung Out in Anaheim on Jan 30 and Cab claims this was their final show. On his down time, Stevie has been drawing a lot
Pat Channita * went on an audition for the role of Shogo Kubo *, the legendary Dogtown * skater, in another soon to be made Dogtown movie. Will Pat be shreadin' pools in the flick? Doubt it, but maybe. P.A.T. also got a call back on a Mountain Dew commercial, so we'll let you know if he's does the dew or not. Besides that, it's been street skating and trying to get that footy. Pat will be embarking on a long road trip across the US from Cali to Florida ending up in Tampa * for the pro contest.

Oliver Buchanan * is still chillin' in his home of Salt Lake City *. It has been about 5 months since he had surgery on his ACL in his knee. He is healing quite fine, thank you and has been ripping up the streets of SLC with such moves as ollies, nollies, nollie shove-its; frontside and backside, and he nose manualed down to the store and manualed back just the other day. He's the tic tac and switch tac master too! Soon enough he will be ripping 100% and he claims that he wants to stay out in California * this summer with his hommie and flow bro Robbie Kurtz. Did you see the new Digital video with someone trying to 5-0 Staple Center? That's Robbie. Oliver celebrated his 18th birthday in January, no doubt he was trying to access all of his subconscious that night like he talks about.
Jordon Hoffart has been working and filming a lot for his role in the movie Blade 3. He celebrated his 19th birthday this month at Club Sonar in Vancouver * where over 1000 people attended including Blade 3 stars Jessica Beil and Weylon Wayans. "J-Jo" will be going to Australia for a few weeks to skate with friends and maybe hang out with Jessica Beil who will be there too. Hoffy has the last part in a local video Orange Crush.
Silas Baxter-Neal * got a nice tre-flip photo and Frontline interview in Heckler *. Silas has been e-mailing me stuff that filmmaker Michael Moore is posting on his web site about who to vote for and why. So if you care, check out what Michael Moore is saying. Silas will have a part in Adam Crew's new video Toebock, so peep that. The movement of a skateboard is so relaxing and calming it creates a wonderful release, I'd say it was almost nurturing to my soul.
Tyler Hansen * has been skating as usual. Dir-T had an ear infection, but he's all better now. If you read Tylers' interview in Slap then you know he's into music and playing the guitar. In fact, T just started a guitar class at the Ventura Community College. Tyler also bought a cruiser bike and has been riding around town. Tyler likes dogs too. Slow month for the dirt man.
Aaron Perko went out to Tampa for the am contest. He was ripping and ended up in 2 spots away from qualifying. Aaron, who won best trick at tampa in 2002 *, went for a front tail frontside flip out on the rail this year, but his board broke and he couldn't bust before the time was up. Aaron has quit his job at Danny's deli/car wash/bait and tackle in Carpinteria, California and will be spending more time skating and traveling around. He is also out of his house in Carp so he will be couch surfing for a while. Did you see Perks kicky front tail Venture * ad in the new Thrasher *? Better recognize. Also, Aaron is now on Ezekiel *, fully bra. He's been on for a while, but now they are stepping it up for him so look for his Ezek ad soon.
