Huckfest Skateboard Contest at Rye Airfield, April 26th 2003

Blades Huckfest BBQ Rye Airfield, Saturday, April 26 2003.

Rye, New Hampshire -- Rye Airfield, in conjunction with event partner Blades Board and Skate has announced the Blades Huckfest BBQ, to take place next Saturday, April 26 from 12 to 6pm. Saturday's event, which will cost $6 and is to be the first of a three-part series, will be held at Rye Airfield and will feature music, games, prizes, demos, a skateboard and inline best trick contest, and, "of course, lots of BBQ". Promoters encourage you to attend and "watch pro downhill slalom skateboarders, demo paint ball guns, or wear the sumo suit and wrestle with your friends at what is sure to be an exciting day".

The April 26 event is scheduled to coincide with the kick off of the Rye Airfield track, which celebrating its reopening with "BMX and mountain bike racing under the lights, a mountain bike trials course with professional demo riders, freestyle flatland bike riders" and giveaways. Promoters say that professional skaters Chad Bartie and Allyson Castro from the Genetic team and professional inliners Franky Morales and Alex Broskow from Team Rollerblade are also scheduled to be at Rye Airfield throughout the day as part of the festivities.

The Huckfest is sponsored by Vallely Skateboards, Genetic, Rollerblade, Spy Factor X, Clive, NFG, Vew Do, Myachi, Hurley, The Phoenix, Stuff@night, and FNX.
