The Powell team * is planning a tour through Canada * tour in May of this year.
Rodney Jones * is in Japan * for a week doing demos for a ramp company. He rolled his ankle pretty bad last month in Florida *, but is skating strong. He's living back in So Cal and is stoked * to be pro and plans to get some skating done.
Pat Channita * got the ok to start skating again after 3 months with a broken bone in his foot. He has added Mountain Dew to his list of sponsors and has about 100 cases in his garage of Pepsi, Aquafina water, Sobe and Red Bull *. Anyone thirsty?
Jon Comer * has been working with Erik Olsen on his Big Brother * interview. He will be going to SF in the near future to finish off his documentary. Jon recently resigned with Da Kine * for all his backpack needs. He recently helped build a mini ramp that is sick.
Danny Wainwright * was in the Los Angeles * area for a few days working on some stuff with fellow Brits Alex Moul, Ali Cairns *, Pete King and Rodney Clarke. He plans on coming out again in the near future for a longer stay and is featured on the cover of Sidewalk issue #76. He has been skating vert twice a week also.
Moses Itkonen * was out here (in Southern California *) for a few weeks and went on a road trip to Arizon with the RDS guys, look for it in Transworld Skateboarding * sometime in the future. Moses is back in Vancouver * now, his leg is feeling strong, and he's just skating.
Steve Caballero * finished 19th at the Celebrity Motocross event held in Anaheim. He did interviews on TV shows, "Motoworld" and "54321" for the race. Cab is way stoked. He is getting an ambassador sponsorship deal with Honda!!
Next time you litter, watch it. Steve is going to be the next poster boy (Tony Hawk did it last year) for the Anti-Litter program. He will be going on a major core tour with all the heavy hitters on Vans * and will be on the East Coast (April 7th-17th) and West Coast (June 9th-18th).
Steve is also working on a bunch of interviews for the push of his new Bandology release on Sessions * records and will have some of his artwork featured in an upcoming Juxtapoz issue. Check out Sessions Records to read about Steve's Bandology CD, you can even enter to win one.
