Globe's business concepts originated in the early 90's from the desire to
develop an authentic skate footwear alternative for the action sports
market. In 1995 *, Globe's rapid expansion prompted the opening of its Globe
International headquarters in Torrance, CA to serve the booming U.S. market.
Designed and developed by active skaters and surfers, Globe aims to offer
quality products that integrate style, performance, durability and comfort.
Globe is also responsible for the launch of Globe Skateboarding, an apparel
and accessories line designed for the active skateboarder, Gallaz, the first
action sports footwear brand specifically for females and Trans Element *, a
casual footwear line for the style conscious crowd. Globe, Globe
Skateboarding, Gallaz and Trans Element are now distributed throughout the
world and additional information can be found at www.globeshoes.com and
